Haven’t written here in a while. Life has been hectic and stressful for a good two weeks now. Some interesting potential new insights gained. Will write about that in a bit.

Folks who read Dr. Davis’ HeartScan blog and the Track Your Plaque forum have come to appreciate the information, insight, and (especially the) humor of the fabulous “g”. In a recent comment here, she posted lyrics she’s written about Billy D, sung to Linkin Park’s HIGH VOLTAGE rap.
I’ll bet that Dr. William Davis, MD, FACC, didn’t anticipate being the subject of a rap tune when he and HeartHawk first started talking about doing the Track Your Plaque website. That’s what makes it all the more fun right?
I’m also thinking he really should be playing something like this with the volume turned up in his patient waiting room.

In case you’re wondering… I’ve gotten to know g a bit recently. It’s actually easy to understand why she’s a crazed Billy D groupie. I suppose I’m something of an expert at spotting crazed Billy D groupies. lol

This year is ending for me on a more positive note than I have experienced in 10 years in terms of my cardiac health. I don’t mean to say that I’ve had serious issues. I’m symptom free and have been for 5 years.
But I can’t recall a time when I had such a clear view of the path I needed to take to secure a healthier future.
There is no doubt in my mind that, next year, I’m going to be back in the high life again…

It can’t be any later for you than it was for me back in September (almost 10 years since I first had a heart attack at 43 years old) when I joined Dr. Davis’ Track Your Plaque program to get my heart out of a headlock.
If I can start, so can you! Oh, and I need companions for the journey.

I’ve always been fond of music and especially music with a upbeat tempo and melody. It’s amazing really how some music, if you let it, can lift the spirit and inspire hope.
Optimism and hope have been found to be significant factors in overcoming hardship, including cardiovascular disease. I won’t review what Dr. Davis has written about the importance optimism and hope in this post. It can be difficult sometimes to generate the psychic resources required to overcome adversity. So, if upbeat music can be harnessed to assist in establishing a positive psychic state then, I say, that’s all for the better.
This doesn’t mean that hope is blind faith. There are many good reasons to be hopeful based on just a few of the testimonials at the Track Your Plaque site.
